Coming from Halifax ( you will be on the 102 highway) you need to connect to the 103 going west ( South Shore to Yarmouth). Once you are on the 103 you keep going till you get to exit 11, then take a left and keep going straight till you come to a four way stop. You go straight. ( the community would be Blockhouse ) Drive straight for another ten minutes and make a right hand turn at another four way stop. Drive for another mile and you come to another four way stop and go straight. To your left of the intersection there is a white garage (Frank’s Auto). You keep going straight through the communities of First South, Bayport, and Rose Bay. It will take you about fifteen minutes from that intersection till you see a convenience store called Rose Bay General Store on your right.(the convenience store is close to two large churches) Once you find the store make a left hand turn and keep going straight for eight minutes till you come down over a large hill. There should be a sign on your right saying Hirtle’s Beach Road. Make the first right on Hirtle’s Beach Road. When you make the right hand turn you go approx. a mile and a half. Gladee’s at Hirtle’s Beach is the last house on the right ( house # 300). The house is yellow with white yellow trim and a deck out in front.
